The LAKS has been involved for years with intercultural work; it participates to conferences, helps organising some, and supports training offers on this matter in Baden-Württemberg. Convinced by many years of practice in the domain of intercultural work, but also because we are motivated by the current challenge of integrating refugees in our society, we would like to put cultural work against discrimination on the agenda.
The LAKS wishes to support their members’ centres and has gathered information in the next pages, so that every sociocultural centres can reflect on their work and structures and thus recognize racist behaviours. Moreover a guiding paper will be prepared in the near term to fight against everyday racism and to help improving the situation in each respective place.
